If I have any good business sense, I got it from my grandmother who managed to run a small jewelry store with military precision for over 50 years (and prosper) in a mill town in Vermont, which saw all other businesses, large and small, come and go with the various times. Her secret was clubs. When I designed the Early American Doll Series, I had originally figured it as a complete set of things including a doll and all her clothes, furniture and accessories. Then I feared that people couldn't afford it, but it came to me that one of my grandmother's clubs would work. It is presented in an affordable format and is a fun way to collect with a surprise to look forward to each month and in the end you will own a wonderful collection for yourself or for the future.

Clubs represent a commitment. I get to have your business for 12 months, which I provide for you at at discount, and you commit to 12 months of payments. It is an unspoken contract. In the event of needing to break this agreement, I require a month's notice for withdrawal so that we can even out the money spent that far - we may owe the customer, or the customer may owe us for which you will be expected to pay this difference, usually not more than a month's payment for your particular club. If we owe you, you will be issued a credit for any merchandise of your choice.

• Clubs for finished things are based on the total value (with a 10% - 15% discount) divided into equal monthly payments, which means some months the payment is worth more than what is received and some months less, but in the end the club member comes out even. In clubs with finished things, we need a month's notice for withdrawal so that we can even out the money spent that far - we may owe the customer, or the customer may owe us.

• Clubs for kits represent a significant savings (20 - 25% discount) over the regular prices. The monthly payments remain the same no matter the price of the kit and in some clubs, more than one kit is sent in most months.

• Custom clubs can be arranged for people who want other than what would normally be in any series. Read more about this option below. Call, write or email to discuss your selections.

• SHIPPING is added to each club for each shipment, but it is kept low. Kit clubs have a shipping rate of $6.50 per month except in occasional shipments with say more than one kit being shipped or the size affecting shipping rates. Finished clubs will vary by item being sent but will be as low as possible. Foreign shipping rates are variable depending on weight. Foreign rates are currently $13.00 for kit clubs to Canada, $15.00 most other places (sometimes more if weight/size is higher). Note: Due to the rapidly changing world of shipping rates these may change according to increases set by UPS and the USPS. Rates above current effective June, 2010.

• Payment options are to sign up with a credit card - this is the easiest as we charge right when we are ready to ship and customers do not have to remember to send a check. But of course, you are welcome to sign up using checks sent each month by the 15th.

• Join any of the clubs at any time.

Important Notice: Due to recent health concerns, I am making significant changes to my business which entail discontinuing nearly all kits and older items. Newer kits and all of the Hitty Series are not being discontinued. This means that the only clubs that will be started up new will be for Hitty or custom clubs made up of items that are still available. The Early American Series, my first clubs, will be discontinued. If you are already in a club, do not worry, we have set aside stock so that you will be able to finish your club as originally planned.

Basic Hitty Series Club for Finished Things ~ In this club you will receive all of the items in the Basic Hitty Series - 20 sets of items (sent in 12 shipments). It includes the Hitty doll, several outfits, hats and bonnets, furniture and lots of accessories, including a four-poster bed, secretary, bench, chairs, rug, carrying travel case and new (as of 6/2010) also includes the 3" Tiny Hitty and her outfit. You can join anytime, the club ships every month (or you can arrange by phone or email for every other month if international shipping is an issue). Payments will be $92 per shipment plus shipping. Continuing on Hitty Series Club for Finished Things ~ As a follow up to the Basic Hitty Series there is a "Continuing On" series for more Hitty things. Here are some of the projected items: More Hitty outfits inspired by the illustrations by Dorothy Lathrop, Hitty's punch needle whale rug (easy to do even if you never have), Hitty's punch needle foot stool, Hitty's table, the table's spindle chairs, a wardrobe, Hitty's folding screen and more, including a new Hitty doll and her Companion dolls. Note - It is intended that this club only be joined if you have a Hitty doll and most of the items in the Basic Hitty Series.
Join the Continuing On Finished Club (Clicking here will add this club to your shopping cart, but you will not be charged anything until the club is ready to be shipped). Price projected for this club will be approximately the same as the present finished club of $92 per shipment*. This club will receive a 10-15% discount on items overall.
*It is projected that there will be several higher priced items (mostly for the newer Hitty dolls and companion dolls) which may require 1-2 months in between where you are charged for the regular monthly amount but receive no item. You will be notified in advance if/when this will happen.

Custom Clubs for Finished Things ~ Custom clubs for finished items may also be set up. Suggestions are: Clubs for angels, clubs for 12 dolls of your choice or clubs for finished furniture such as all the large cupboards, not included in the Basic Early American Series, or any 12 items you want. We add up your items, take the finished things discount (10%) and then divide by the number of months you wish to belong (12 or more), or the size payment you wish to make, to get your monthly payment. Early American Basic Club ~ This club for finished things is for the Early American Doll Series. The club starts with the 12 month Basic Club - 20 foundation items - then you can decide to continue on to eventually receive the whole series, belonging in segments which you can decide on as you go. Joining a club means a discount on the finished items. Cost for this foundation club is $75/month plus shipping.

New Early American Furnishings Club ~ This club is for those who already have all or most of the other items and wish to get the brand new things as soon as they are ready. For Dollhouse owners, all of these items will fit in your dollhouse, even if you have it "complete" - always room for more. The concept for this club is the same, but it will only be shipped as new items are completed basis. First item is a Laundry Wash Table with wringer and set-in scrub tub (original is in the Wenham Museum and charming indeed). Cost for this club is $85 per shipment plus shipping. This club has been discontinued for new sign ups.
