A continuation of a procrastination project to hoe out the many boxes of parts of discontinued kits and their finished versions mostly for cloth dolls. It is daunting to pick through deciding what can be sold or given away or sadly taken to the dump. These are some of much more to come as I get more time. When partially worked dolls are included, I figure there are those out there who know my work and can make use of.

HOMESPUN MAGAZINE DOLL -
LOTTIE
In 2009, I did a pattern for a new cloth doll for an Australian magazine
(also sold in the US) called Homespun. The doll is named Lottie and
is 10", all cloth with embroidered face and a mohair wig. This
doll has one of my best patterns yet for a cloth doll body and reverts
from a painted detail face to stitchery. Full kits have not been available for years, but we had a recent find of the perfect print fabrics already in our supplies, so we have full kits now available while they last. Kits contain all materials, notions, stuffing and paints necessary.
NEW Rerun of Old Full Kit - old price was $54, now on sale for $38 ALL SOLD

THE
14" FEEDSACK DOLL - New Mini Kit
Previously this kit was going to be discontinued, but
because it is such a good kit and a great doll, I have made it a mini kit. This is one of the best
dolls I have ever designed. She makes up well, with ease, including
stuffing, which is usually one of the hardest parts. She is very
old-fashioned in her style and accessories. Made from a feedsack*,
an historical detail common to homemade cloth dolls, she has a
charming face which is accomplished easily with an iron-on transfer
and colored pencils applied to her painted cloth finish. Mini kit has all supplies including body and striped legs fabrics, colored pencils and stencil for her face, paints and antiquing, leather for shoes and vintage style batise and cotton lace for underwear
and bonnet. Customer provides dress, trim fabric, and stuffings.
*NOTE: We are no longer able to
provide the wonderful vintage feedsacking for this doll (the modern
replacement is awful) and so the fabric provided is a suitable
weave that acts the part with ease.

HAND CROCHETED LACES FROM MY COLLECTION (about 1/8" wide)
When I first began my dollmaking, I had access to some wonderful narrow cotton lace which took me through a few early years. But then none could be found. Meantime I had found a retired miniature furniture maker who had agreed to make chairs for my dolls. His spinster daughter tatted lace and was a prolific crocheter. She was able to take my designs and make the much needed narrow lace for me. I kept her working on this for many years, building a large stash and knowing I would never find anyone willing to do this for so little pay. Back 20 years ago, she charged 25 cents per inch, probably not even minimum wage, but even so, very expensive lace. But, I loved it and felt it was so perfect for my dolls. I now need to smallen down my large stash and have long since found a reliable source of imported cotton laces. Offering 2 yard pieces (which is how she sent them to me) and I have wound the pieces on leftover wood spools.

MOHAIR FOR DOLL HAIR - This is a smooth but not the silky more realistic kind known as "English" mohair and therefore best for cloth dolls. It is slightly woolier than the English, but much easier to work with. You can see it here in auburn on a Basic Doll and it was also used for Lotties and many of my angels.
SPECIAL OFFER - I have a huge supply of the Auburn and Brown roving from the old days of many kits having it included in the kit supplies, and need to clear out some. 5 yard bags $10.95. REDUCED MORE TO $8.95
